What began under the lights of a music-video set has apparently continued long after the cameras stopped rolling.

Former BIGBANG member T.O.P. and actor Nana have confirmed that their professional meeting during the filming of “Studio54” eventually turned into a romantic relationship, putting real-life emotion behind a collaboration that fans had already seen on screen.

T.O.P.’s agency, Topspot Pictures, said the two first became acquainted while working on the music video for “Studio54.” Their relationship gradually deepened, and the pair began dating around June.

Nana’s agency, Sublime, separately confirmed the relationship, saying the two developed a connection through the production and are currently in a relationship.

The timing has added another layer to the story. Nana starred alongside T.O.P. in “Studio54,” the lead single from his first full-length album, “Another Dimension,” released in April. What appeared to be an on-screen pairing therefore became the beginning of something beyond the production itself.

For T.O.P., the relationship comes during a period of major change in his career. After making his debut with BIGBANG in 2006, he built a parallel reputation as an actor before leaving the group in 2023. He subsequently returned to the screen, including a role in the second season of Netflix’s Squid Game.

Nana has followed a similarly successful transition from music to acting. She debuted with After School in 2009 and left the group in 2015 to concentrate on her acting career. Her credits include The Good Wife, Mask Girl and Netflix’s The Scandal, released in September.

Two performers met for a music video. The cameras captured a fictional connection—but somewhere between the rehearsals, filming and time spent together, the story apparently became real.

Now, “Studio54” carries a meaning neither performer could have fully scripted: it was not only a song collaboration, but the place where their relationship began.
