King Charles’ Trump strategy revealed

King Charles’ secret weapon for dealing with Donald Trump’s temper has been revealed by a royal expert ahead of the state visit later this month.

The British monarch and Queen Camilla will be in the U.S. at the end of the month to help celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States gaining its independence. But the visit comes after Trump and British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s public spat.

When it comes to Trump, you never know what to expect, and he may make a smart aleck remark about the U.S. breaking away from Great Britain, and if that is the case, royal expert Pauline Maclaran has a feeling King Charles will be ready.Maclaran, co-author of Royal Fever, trusts Charles will be his typical gentlemanly self, told Mirror US, “I think King Charles will be very prepared to handle any comments from Trump.

“He is adept at social situations and will be able to switch any potentially inflammatory conversations to those he feels more comfortable with – like bees of course,” she added, referring to the hives at Highgrove. We can only imagine, Charles must have a plethora of topics to discuss, ranging from school days to his passion for plants, and he can easily dodge any mischief that Donald may get up to.

Charles and Camilla will arrive to the U.S. on April 27, landing in Washington, D.C, and their first full day will be spent with the Trumps at the White House, followed by a day in New York City on April 28, with a third location yet to be announced.

Maclaran discussed whether the third location may be Montecito, California, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle live, but the royal expert said it is unlikely.

“I doubt there will be time for the King to meet up with Harry as he has a tight schedule and there is no indication yet that the relationship is repaired,” she explained.

As the royal expert points out, the state visit is a work trip, and it’s quite serious — even if it may look fun and pretty with the pomp and pageantry — and Charles and Camilla are here on business, to help maintain the special relationship between the U.K. and the U.S.”

“I’m sure that this is to reinforce the longtime links between our countries and to protect it for the future,” said Maclaran.
